Just like its larger rival, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives named an insider to fill a vacant executive director position. Current ACTE president and board member Leigh Bochicchio takes over the role on June 17.

Bochicchio has been in vice president positions at MasterCard for 13 years. Before that she worked for Galileo International and American Express Travel Related Services.

Lori O’Connell, another existing ACTE leader, will become president of the association, succeeding Bochicchio. O’Connell currently is ACTE’s treasurer and a member of the board, as well as PwC’s senior director of travel and meetings.

The Global Business Travel Association also picked a familiar face, Scott Solombrino, to serve as its new executive director. ACTE made its selection after “an extensive external search process, supported by a specialized non-profit recruiting firm,” according to an association statement. GBTA neither conducted an outside search nor engaged a recruiting firm.
