The International Air Transport Association plans to hold virtual meetings with governments and other stakeholders as soon as this month to kickstart coordination on health screenings and travel restrictions. The outcome would have implications for travel management programs in terms of communications with travelers and pre-trip authorization processes.
During an April 7 press briefing, IATA director general Alexandre de Juniac discussed the need for a "managed and predictable" global approach, rather than unilateral government action.
