Static rates negotiated by corporate buyers are regaining an increasing share of rates booked by travelers at the expense of public rates, according to data from Emburse's Tripbam.

In addition to fixed corporate rates, client travelers also use chainwide discounts negotiated by their employers. Those have gradually played a more significant role in Tripbam client programs, accounting for 17 percent of U.S. bookings at the beginning of 2023 and 25 percent during September 2024.

The popularity of dynamic rates offered by properties during the same period remained relatively consistent, ranging between 6 percent and 8 percent of corporate bookings, and then settling at 5 percent since April 2024. The usage of agency rates slowly diminished, contributing 11 percent of all bookings in December 2023 and 4 percent by September 2024.
