Dee Runyan left her post as president of World Travel Inc. to join Chicago-area travel management company CorpTrav as chief operating officer.

The highly regarded TMC executive replaced Mary Batal-Riley who, after a two-year stint as CorpTrav COO, this summer became global travel manager at Baxter International, according to her LinkedIn profile.

In her new role, Runyan is responsible for “managing overall customer experience, product and service enhancements, and further development of strategic industry relationships,” according to CorpTrav.

CorpTrav chairman Bonnie Lorefice founded the TMC in 1976. Twenty-four-year company veteran Mona Blankshain took on the chief executive role in April 2018.

Runyan previously worked at BCD Travel, CWT and Radius. She joined World Travel Inc. in 2012 as executive vice president for client services.
