More travel management companies jumped into the mobile space, and those already there kept updating strategies. In some cases, a TMC's mobile tech became a differentiator.
Third parties like Concur also continue to refine their mobile products, as do other providers of booking, expense and itinerary management services. Dedicated app-makers like Roadmap present a customized avenue for some.
For travel program managers, the result is a landscape filled with a bewildering array of options and combinations. The optimal choices vary by company based on their needs, traveler behaviors, incumbent suppliers and other factors.
