There are piles of enterprise software review websites, and most of them are clickbait garbage. Business models with sponsored listings and affiliate marketing favor the site owner rather than the user. As six-year-old G2 Crowd attempts to go up a notch, buyers still need to watch for red flags.

G2 Crowd offers "unbiased" reviews from "verified" users of B2B software in dozens of categories, including travel and expense. Reviewers authenticate using LinkedIn profiles or business email addresses. They submit to G2 screenshots of logged-in accounts with the technology they are assessing to prove they are real users . . .
