Lufthansa Outlines NDC Benefits, And Non-NDC Detriments, For TMCs In Road Show

In the four years since announcing its new distribution strategy, Lufthansa has done a lot to try to convince the travel agency community of the merits. The latest stop in its campaign, a Wednesday webinar for Canadian agencies, featured Lufthansa officials outlining the carrots partners can get by using the New Distribution Capability.

To avoid the stick — surcharges on Austrian, Lufthansa and Swiss bookings through channels not using NDC — travel agencies can connect the carrier's API (built by Farelogix) to their own front ends; use the Farelogix-provided . . .
