[UPDATE, May 22, 2019: Barry Padgett left SAP. Rather than “stepping back” into an advisory role as planned on July 1, former Concur president Mike Eberhard replaced Padgett as president of SAP’s Intelligent Spend Group, effective immediately.]

SAP Concur announced the appointment of Jim Lucier as president, replacing Mike Eberhard as of July 1. Eberhard will retire, according to the company.

SAP Concur also combined its product and technology teams, which a spokesperson said led to the departure this month of EVP and chief product officer Tim MacDonald.

Leaders over Concur’s TMC relationships (Mike Koetting), travel software (Doug Anderson) and expense software (A.G. Lambert and Hendrik Vordenbaeumen) will report to CTO Michael Weingartner. Weingartner adds MacDonald’s product responsibilities, and also oversees the SAP Concur App Center and Concur Labs. A former Oracle SVP, he joined Concur in 2017 as SVP of development.

Scott Torrey, who had been co-chief revenue officer with Lucier, also left the company after 20 years. The press official said Torrey’s move was not related to the reorganization.

The changes followed SAP’s April 5 announcement about the departure of executive board member and president of the SAP Cloud Business Group, Robert Enslin. SAP executive board member Jennifer Morgan succeeded Enslin.

Meanwhile, SAP Concur appointed former general manager and global SVP for the small and medium-size business unit, Christal Bemont, to head global sales.

SAP also named former Concur exec Barry Padgett (most recently president of SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass) president of its Intelligent Spend Group, part of the Cloud Business Group. Padgett’s group includes Ariba for procurement, Fieldglass for workforce management and Concur for travel, expense and invoicing.

With Concur for 17 years, Eberhard served as president since November 2016.
