TravelPerk’s Insurance Plan Reimagines Refundability

What business traveler doesn't want the freedom to plan trips even when the business isn't certain? To choose the cheapest options regardless of restrictions? To cancel or change plans with no financial penalty? According to Spain-based startup TravelPerk, a new service announced this month allowing for all that is a corporate travel first. Intrigued travel management pros said number-crunching would help clients determine the fitness of such a program.

The online corporate travel agency's FlexiPerk option requires a fee equaling 10 percent of the value of trips booked through TravelPerk. Essentially insurance . . .
