New York — World Travel Inc. is targeting the end of the first quarter of next year to release a new portal product that gives corporate clients more control to display what they want to travelers and managers. Buyers can configure sites differently by country, and include not only typical travel management applications but also videos and social content.

Congrats to Shelby for her forward-thinking approach, a great fit for her innovative company (we love our Roomba by the way!) Interesting that the network managed model gets a call out too. I’ve always seen this as such a strength, if the local agency doesn’t deliver, you can swap them out (relatively) easily, vs a “global” model where it might take a few years to swap out a poor performing local partner. A whole article/potential debate on TMC partner models and how far they have some could be on the cards…?
