Affiliates of the Global Business Travel Association have until Jan. 1 to decide to either become full-fledged GBTA chapters or sever ties. The large groups in Chicago and Los Angeles announced their decisions to become official chapters. Sources said all other affiliates had done the same, except Texas BTA, which at press time was mulling it over.
The move will end the two-tiered structure of GBTA's local presence, which took its current form in 2012. At that time, some affiliates elected a new chapter status under a reworked program.
