Ovation Travel Makes First Non-U.S. Acquisition

One of the last standing in that unique category of New York-based travel agencies drawing outsized attention from suppliers while serving high-end business and leisure clientele, Ovation Travel Group has made its first acquisition outside the United States.

Ovation last week bought London-based Chartwell Travel Limited, known in the entertainment, film, television and news production industries, according to a press statement.

The move was about linking New York and London, according to Ovation chairman and CEO Paul Metselaar. He said the company sought to bridge the world's top markets for Ovation's wheelhouse of professional services . . .
