When asked what makes their outfits unique, business travel entrepreneurs tend to talk tech rather than people. TravelPerk is going the other way, and its customers seem to appreciate it.

The Barcelona-based but also U.S.-registered company styles itself as a business online travel agency. After raising $30 million as of this spring, it's hiring more humans for customer service. TravelPerk has doubled its employee count during the past year, to 130. It plans to double headcount again in the coming 12 to 18 months and open more offices around the globe.
