In a move that opens up opportunities for risk management and communications firms, SAP Concur is sunsetting its TMC Messaging service. The company declined to offer details; multiple industry sources conveyed knowledge of the plan, shared with customers during the past few months.
With TMC Messaging, travel management companies can locate travelers and communicate with them. It's built on the ConTgo platform that Concur acquired in 2013. Concur marketing materials positioned it as something on which TMCs could make a buck.
